Mmm, pie! Made by pilgrim bears! When most people think about holiday sartorial offenses, the Christmas sweater leaps to mind. But remember, there are other, equally painful ways to show the whole office just how much you love the holidays -- I'm talking about holiday themed jewelry.

In the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, ladies of a certain age and adornment proclivity will rummage through their jewelry boxes and pull out glittering rhinestone cornucopia pins, items adorned with "pilgrim bears" and more filo dough turkeys than should rightfully exist.

We all have at least one older lady in the family who shows up for the big events wearing "conversation pieces." Chances are she's also the one who has a big, kooky red hat. What a scream she is, oh my.

  • Gobble, gobble
  • Lifelike polymer clay
  • Google-eyed gobblers
  • Fried turkey!
  • A little more formal
I suppose it's a harmless enough idiosyncrasy, in moderation. Just resist the urge to give Auntie Patrice more of these character earrings and necklaces. Remember, someday she will die, and you could be the one saddled with the sale of her "heirlooms."
