Imagine yourself standing under the mistletoe, lips puckered and ready to go and ... nothing. That cutie you've had your eye on just walks on by without so much as a glance in your direction. Is it possible that your awesome light-up reindeer sweater is a total turnoff?

Of course it is. But before you change your shirt, consider that your target may just need a little loosening up before locking lips.

Enter the Mistletoe martini. This is vodka at its most festive and while it won't guarantee you a kiss, it will at least give your lonely lips something else to do.
4 ounces vodka
1 ounce melon liqueur (Midori)
1/2 ounce grenadine

Mix the vodka and melon liqueur in a shaker with ice and strain into a martini glass. Slowly add the grenadine. The red grenadine will settle below the green vodka/melon mix, resulting in a Christmas-colored cocktail.

Now, before you head back over to the mistletoe, go ahead and change that shirt. What are you, six?
