Look up stress in the dictionary and you will see a picture of your grandpa, who turns off the lights when he leaves a room ... even if you're still in it. Or maybe you'll see a picture of your fourth grader, who won't tell you she needs four dozen cookies until eight o'clock the night before you need them. Or maybe you'll see big crowds, or long hours spent at the stove, or one of the many other things that cause you stress during the holiday season.
The holidays. They're meant to be a season rich in family and friends, gifts and generosity. And sometimes, that's exactly what's causing your stress.
So how can avoid it? You could plan to be in Tahiti on on December 25th. Or you could cut yourself a break, and try
some of these tips from
Forbes for a more restful, stress-free holiday. Here are a few of their ideas:
1.
Put away the plastic. Ending the season debt-free is a great way to prevent future stress.
2.
Exercise and stick to a healthy diet whenever possible.
3.
Spend time bonding with family. (Unless they're the source of your stress, of course. But really, at least
try.)
4.
Delegate! Women, especially, tend to take on far more than their share. Pass out responsibility like Santa hands out presents.
5.
Make a plan. Whether it's for travel arrangements or wrapping presents, map out your obligations so that it all gets done on time.
6.
Give. Having too much is a good problem to have. Take time to remember those who are less fortunate this season.
How do you relieve stress during the holiday season?

Christmas is fun and all that Santa stuff, and thats o.k. especialy for the kids. But please remember what it is about. God the father and the birth of a savior. If you keep this in the forfront you can't go wrong. Im not saying to become a preacher because in groups religion and politics realy don't mix. However in your heart is a different matter. And it might make your drunk aunt seem not so bad. And you will perhaps see the goodness in her and the goodness we all have inside. Some deeper than others.
