The 2008 Presidential race is finally over, but Sarah Palin is still turning up in the news. In this video, she gives an interview to Alaska KTUU after pardoning a Thanksgiving turkey.
Not exactly newsworthy ... except that while she's giving the interview, two turkeys are killed in the background. So much for the Governor's Pardon!
You don't see any blood or gore, but it's completely disturbing. At one point, she tells the reporter how fun it is to be at the turkey farm, and that she's thankful this year that her family is healthy and safe. Meanwhile, in the background a turkey is put into some kind of killing machine, and thrashes around, trying to escape death. The whole time Sarah smiles, jokes, and gestures with her Starbucks gingerbread latte, oblivious to the suffering going on behind her.
Roto13 I get so tired of Peta being blamed for everything because they try to protect animals by exposing cruelty. I have seen the videos that Investigators took. It's horrible and beyond humane. Animals for food are supposed to be slaughtered humanely In this country. They hire some of the cruelest low IQ idiots in these slaughter houses. I know what I saw with my own eyes. Anyway that's another story. I saw this particular story twice Once I CNN and the other time on a regular channel. Miss Moose lady was yaking about Thanksgiving cheerful yayaya and they were slaughtering turkeys in the background at the same time there was supposed to be a "turkey pardon". Hey It isn't a surprise (I saw that video too)) she hires hunters in low flying planes to kill wolves and some of these idiots can't shoot clean so the animal suffers. She pays 150.00 for wolf paws. Oh and of course she doesn't believe the Polar Bear are in trouble.either. She won't go far in her political ambition. Most people would never vote for her. She represents the image the Right is trying to distance them selves from.
She is a gem, and this video shows nohting cruel, nothing inhumane. A good man doing a job--at least he HAS one in today's economy. Some of the turkeys were pardoned, but not ALL, not hard to understand. Sarah Palin will go far, she is almost exactly what the Conservative movement needs. Smart, funny, and CONSERVATIVE!.

That was a lot less horrifying than PETA would have you believe.
