Welcome to How to be a Holiday Hottie, Holidash's inside scoop on keeping your figure during party season! Every Tuesday, diet and fitness guru (and total hottie) Fitz proffers tips to stay slim and trim through the holidays, and inspires you to face the new year in top form. You can read all the Holiday Hottie posts here.
Hey hotties. Looking for some flat abs? You've come to the right place. I'm pretty confident a whittled middle in on the top of every hottie's wish list who doesn't already own them. In fact, I don't know many people who wouldn't sever off a few toes or forgo every future holiday gift for the rest of their lives to have abominable abdominals. They're the status symbol of the day and let's face it ... they're hot!
If you're willing to do what I say and give yourself the most outrageous gift anyone's ever received, then I'm willing to help. Flat lean abs are a result of two things: lack of body fat and abundance of muscle. Speaking of muscle, I've even included this video to teach you the most advanced abdominal exercises you've ever seen and change your waistline forever. I'm feeling generous.
I'm going to be precise, because we haven't got a lot of time until Santa comes. First, I want you to spend three full days making a ridiculously specific food diary. That means you write down every last detail about what you put in your mouth (including drinks), and don't leave one breath mint off that list.
Your next duty is to go over it with a fine toothed comb and figure out which calories you can do without. The hundred calorie squirt of caramel syrup in your coffee each morning? Gone! The handful of goldfish crackers you snatch from your kid in the afternoon? Forget about it. Choose the foods you need to fuel your life and your workouts, and then chop out the rest.
Last. Get serious about exercise! Your mission is to do something each day that makes you: huff, puff, grunt and sweat so bad you leave puddles anywhere you stand.. As for the abdominal training ... do it every other day no matter what. Try some of Anthony Field's training techniques you see here in this video and then incorporate some others. Pilates is a superb choice for core training as well. You don't need to take a whole class (although that would be nice), just pick a few favorites and do them.
My number one priority for you is that you get committed. Decide that nothing is going to stand in the way of you and your six pack, and come late December you'll be singing little merry melodies all about yourself.
My book The Everything Flat Belly Cookbook will hit stores March 09. Check it out!

I want Fitz abs and Anthony's arms. In fact ... I'll take either part of either of them. Not fare for any one to be so perfect.
