With stores promising extreme markdowns this Christmas season, Black Friday will no doubt be one riot. And if you're not a fan of big lines and consumer craziness, perhaps you'd want to get an early start on the shopping. Perhaps soon after scarfing down pounds of turkey, stuffing and sweet potato pie?
Black Friday is definitely not your typical shopping day. Early bird sales and giveaways track loads of people that some malls and stores have decided to open their doors earlier than usual.
Florida's
Vero Fashion Outlets and
Moonlight Madness in Freeport, Maine will be opening their doors at midnight. So if you're up for some nighttime retail therapy, you can definitely get your fix.
New York's Woodbury Commons (also opening at midnight on Thanksgiving evening) will be
offering shuttles to patrons who don't mind parking further from the center of the shopping storm.
The first 100 shoppers who go to the
Tanger Outlets in Long Island, NY will receive a $10 gift card while the next 200 get a stuffed animal.
However if you're not in any of these areas, you can also get your shop on before the sun rises. Stores like JCPenny and Kohl's plan to open doors at 4 a.m. while Old Navy, Best Buy, Sports Authority and Sears will open at 5 a.m.
In case you need to get some aspirin from too much spiked cider, Rite Aid will be open at midnight. But if you're more of a Walgreens shopper, it won't serve you till 7 a.m.
Although stores and malls promise to be open at these early hours, it's still best to call the ones close to you just in case they have tweaked their own hours of operation.
