Candy Store-Themed Baby Shower
Friends Mandy, Jackie, and Trish love planning parties, and this one (a shower for Trish's second baby girl) cost only about $350. Mandy and Jackie hosted a 1950s sweet shop-themed shower for Trish, who came up with the idea as a way to use leftover candy from another shower she'd thrown.

Root beer floats, as well as bottles of cherry, vanilla, and blueberry coke, were on hand for all the guests. Old-fashioned bottles of grape and orange soda were also on display. The low-key menu of hot dogs and buttered popcorn (served in old-fashioned popcorn boxes) worked well with the 1950s theme and tight budget.
