Those who object to wearing costumes to the office generally do so not because they are Halloween party poopers, but because they don't want to know their co-workers that way. How can you ever take Bob in accounting seriously again after seeing him in a cone bra vogueing like Madonna? Trust me, you can't.
And if you think your boss isn't going to have second thoughts about that promotion after seeing you in Jesus creepers and hippie hair, think again.
Knowing all that, why in the world would anyone want to wear a Halloween costume to the office? Because for some people, acting a fool while getting paid is a once-a-year opportunity too good to pass up. And why should kids have all the fun anyway?
If you work at a school, a library or anywhere else where you would be expected to come into regular contact with children, you have a legitimate excuse for dressing up like a deranged clown on October 31st. But what about everyone else? Should Halloween costumes be worn at work?
