Ribbon Runner

Branch Out
Create a woodsy, modern mood with branches from your backyard. Just cut off any remaining leaves and trim so all branches stand at a similar height. Then paint the branches a bright color (yellow looks chic here) to add pop and place in a tall vase. Be sure to keep the branches tall so you don't block eye contact between guests.
Cheers with Charm
It can be hard to tell which glass is yours even if you haven't had too much wine! Use colored ribbon to personalize wine glasses so guests can keep track of their favorite beverage.
Perfect Place
Give your old napkin ring holders a playful makeover by writing guests' names on them with chalkboard paint. These cute markers can serve as your place cards, too.
Lovely Leaves
This year, skip the cornucopia. Pick up some pretty leafy greens like kale or an aromatic herb like thyme and arrange them in decorative pitchers or vases. Need extra room on your table for food? Place these decorations on your buffet, leaving space on the dining table for the gravy boat, butter dish and salt and pepper shakers.
Colorful Candles
A coat of paint is all you need to unify a collection of mismatched candles. Group them together to create a cozy ambiance.
Simple Setting
Use fall's bounty to spice up your table's décor. Place mini pumpkins, acorns, pomegranates and nuts in bowls for a simple, festive feel.

I have a simple idea for napkin rings. Take an empty ring from your paper towel roll.
Then cup rings from the empty roll a size to please you. Use a glue gun and wrap with your favorite wrapping paper cut carefully and place a round the ring,or use some material that match your dinner plates. Makes great napkin holders
