Coffees and lattes, muffin and pancake mix -- you can't go anywhere in the Fall without running into the spicy and sweet wonder that is Pumpkin Spice. Its rich flavor amps up many foods and beverages, and a syrup can be whipped up at home quite easily for just a fraction of the price.

While there are a myriad of recipes that ask for pumpkin, pumpkin spice syrup is just as the name suggests -- the spices that often get added to the orange flesh. To turn those spices into the perfect drink addition, simply infuse them with some simple syrup. Sugarcrafter offers a prime recipe that simmers equal parts sugar and water (simple syrup!) before adding cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and nutmeg and simmering a little more. (The flavor is great with pre-ground spices, but will taste even better when freshly ground spices are used.)

A little boiling and a quirk squirt of syrup and you'll have a concoction that won't only make your own drinks pop, but one that will wow all your guests when you settle in for a post-dinner coffee after that big Thanksgiving dinner.
