This time, though, it's not bickering parents Jon and Kate in the spotlight, but their kids. The eight former stars of the TLC show "Jon and Kate Plus 8" no longer believe in Santa Claus. OK, it happens -- even to eight-year-old twins and their five-year-old sextuplet siblings.
But here's the kicker: A source close to the family told US Magazine that twins Maddy and Cara were the ones who spilled the beans to the younger kids. And now, the sextuplets -- Alexis, Hannah, Aeden, Collin, Leah and Joel -- are telling other kids at their Wernersville, Pa. school the bad news.
It would appear that it's no coincidence that Gosselin and Grinch both start with "G." Granted, the kids have had an incredibly rough year thanks to their
But that doesn't really excuse the Gosselin gang from ruining the magic for other children. Nor does it explain why Jon and Kate haven't stepped in to put a stop to this behavior. Although given how the two of them have behaved recently, maybe we don't need any explanation.

i think everyone has forgotten that Christmas is not just santa claus it is about Jesus Christ our living savior. it is he that we are suppose to celebrate not just the presents. and most presents end up in yard sales

this is very wrong kids or not the so called parents need to step in and put a stop to this behavior, i wanted my kids and my grand kids to believe in santa for as long as possible and the decision to tell other children anything is the parents right not some spoiled kids that their parents have made miserable

I can just see the 6 of those kids spreading the word about Santa and all the other kids crying in unison. I bet their teacher was about nuts and having to explain to the irate parents that wanted their kids to keep their childhood just a little bit longer. Then comes along the unruly 6's world traveled bi*chie mom Kate to try to brush it all away like it is nothing and explain that kids of their age should be well informed and be told everything that is going on and to be told the truth.
Just like she did when she sat them all 8 down and told them she would not be wearing her wedding ring anymore because her and Daddy are getting a divorce.
Kate is the worst mother i have seen in a very long time. I'm just so glad they are finally going to be off Tv and we wont have to read about them 24/7 anymore.
They should never have another article on here of them... Ever

Jeanne sager who wrote this article sounds miffed-she's acting as if the twins told her there is no Santa. Yes Jeanne Santa is a myth. Whats a waste of bandwidth..?

I agree with others it was probably Maddie.
I can't believe how they seemed to just ignore her antics.
All along, I always felt they were in denial when it came to what Maddy was doing.
But, come to think of it, they didn't seem to think anything of their kids (all of them) hitting each other continually in the head.

Get off the Gosselin's. Kids spill the Santa secret to other kids all the time. This is the most ridiculous thing I've read--there has got to be better things to talk about. People want to put this family down about being "famewhores",etc, but you sure do keep writing about them. Let them live thier lives.

You've got to be kidding me!!!!! Don't these people have anything better to do than complain that these kids are saying their is no santa. If anybody else is kids did that no one would say a thing but since some people LOVE drama they make it a big deal.... Kids will be kids and PLEASE people stop saying that mady is a brat she is someones child and it's very hurtfull for a parent to read these things about their child.

Love the blog baby. Sho you right about everything. I got one of my xmas wishes... and that was that I would not have to see Kate plus 8 on tv anymore, nor would I have to see or hear about Kate, Jon or the Gosslelins in the tabloids anymore. Thank You Santa! I believe.

I think there is very little that is innocent for kids these days. Why are people in such a rush to take this away from their children?? It is magical, it is not a lie! I have four children and only one of the four actually asked and I never said yes or no.(as I had promised someone a long time ago that I would never tell my children there was not a Santa Claus! I just told my one son it was a magical time of year and whatever he felt comfortable believing was fine, but he was never to ruin it for any other child. He skipped away content with the answer and that was it. My other children just evolved and maybe they still believe. Who knows, we never ask and our Christmases are wonderful, magical and spiritual. A child who wants to believe will believe, the others won't. They hear a lot at school so you keep it alive at home!

If people would respect Christmas as a holy day and not tell their children the myth of Santa... complete with magic reindeer and wish lists, greed and bribery - then there would be no problem. I'm so glad I'm not in the Santa camp -- it's like our whole society goes insane for a few weeks each month. I hate December and just can't wait every year for it to just be over!

I didn't bring up my son to believe in Santa, but I told him that some parents like to do that to help make their Christmas special, so don't ruin it for the other kids. As he got older, we talked about the spirit of giving, and how Santa is part of that. He's in his 30s now and it didn't ruin him...but I grew up believing, and apparently it didn't ruin me either...

When will these fools be out of the news?
Every kid, sooner or later, goes to school and gets the bad news about Santa Claus. I was in second grade (1957) when I got the bad tidings from an eighth grader who rode my school bus. (Back in those days, we didn't have kindergarten and eighth graders still went to elementary school.)
I came home in tears, and my beloved Papa sat down with me and explained the whole story. Then, gently, he asked me not to ruin it for my baby sister, then barely five. I didn't. By the next year, there was a new baby in the house, and I kept up the charade, warning my now-middle sister not to spoil it for the new baby. We managed to keep the spirit of Santa until I was about sixteen and there were no more little ones in the house.
But Christmas wasn't spoiled after the Santa deal fell through. My very wise Papa saw to it that we exchanged family gifts on Christmas Eve and had something to unwrap Christmas morning until I started college. As each daughter graduated from high school, the Christmas morning unwrapping at our house was discontinued in favor of a gift under the tree and then going to Grandma's for the other generation's gift exchange.
Oh, my Papa...to me he was so wonderful. Thanks to Eddie Fisher, I can still hear that song I lisped on his knee all those years ago.

What a beautiful and touching story. This is why I do not understand how some people can be so cold and take the joy out of the Christmas spirit (even to a child as young as three)! Even if you didn't believe, you kept it up for your siblings and I am going to bet, it didn't harm you in the least!

This has got to be one of the most stupid articles that I have ever read. I cannot believe that this reporter thought this was worth reporting. They are kids for goodness sakes and they are going to talk. So the media is not happy just bashing the parents, now they want to bash the kids. Well done you stupid idiot.
