Singles Pajama Party: With Valentine's Day falling on a Sunday this year, why not invite your unattached pals over for a Saturday night sleepover party? Celebrate your singleness with upbeat music, party games and lots of good food and drinks. For a fun activity, give each guest a slip of paper and ask them to write down what they love about being single. Place the papers in a bowl and take turns reading them and trying to guess who wrote what. Rent some fun, non-romantic movies that celebrate independence. Take lots of pictures and after the party, make an album to remind yourself how lucky you are to have such great friends to spend Valentine's Day with.
Famous Couples: A party that celebrates famous lovers is perfect for a Valentine's Day party theme. Ask your guests to arrive in costume, dressed as their favorite celebrity couples. Decorate your house like a Hollywood premiere, complete with red carpet and spotlights. Have someone play paparazzi to photograph your guests as they arrive. Inside, tack up posters of celebs, play upbeat movie soundtrack music and perhaps even screen a film featuring famous lovers.
Romantic Cocktail Party: Dim the lights and stock the bar for a romantic cocktail themed party. Serve up Agave Kiss, Honeymoon Cocktail, French Kiss or a Rainbow of Love. Light plenty of candles and put on some romantic love songs. Feed your guests heart-shaped pizzas, sexy chocolate covered strawberries and little balls of love.
