I like to stay inside and LOOK out at the snow. And we bake and make lots of comfort food recipes to feast on!

When my kids were babys, I started the tradition, We would start the day w/ a family breakfast then move outside, making snow angels, & a Snow family resembleing our family in our front yard w/ all our cats and dogs included in the snow creatures, Great planning & disscussion would be occur concerning thier dress, facial features & expressions. I have a daughter that was very ill alot of the time especially in the wintermonths so great prior planning & teamwork was usually requird to complete the families appearence. Sometimes if all went well we could even have a snowball fight if everyone was feelin ok by this time. At the end of the day we gathered up clean snow to make snowball ice cream for after dinner. yummie!! My kids are now 11 & 9, & to this day we still do all the planning surrounding the day to play together in the snow as a family!! We take pics & each year that is our family pic in the picture book which is our favorite & we send out to family & friends.
