Gather:
Design or typographical message to your mom
2 pieces of different colored construction paper (choose contrasting colors, or two colors that look nice together)
X-acto knife
Cutting mat
Painter's (masking) tape
Glue stick or Elmer's glue

Print or draw your designed pattern on plain white paper.
Place one of the pieces of colored construction paper on a cutting mat. Place your pattern on top of the colored paper so that the design is aligned with the bottom of the page. Secure the papers to the mat with painter's tape.
Using the X-acto knife cut out the black parts of the pattern. Remove tape gently to reveal your cut-out design. Fine-tune any areas that might need extra attention.
Take the second piece of colored construction paper and coat it evenly with glue. Quickly align your cut out piece with the coated paper so they match evenly.
Fold your card in half. Allow a few minutes for the glue to dry clear. Write a happy message to your mom inside.

It is beautiful I have discovered the Silhouette machine that now cuts this for you. But in the past I have done the x-acto knife and I truly appreciate the hard work put into this.

Wow, that's a mouth-full. How long did it take you to come up with that totally nonsensical and irrelevant little tidbit?
I wasn't aware virtue or distinction had anything to do with crafts. Yes, crafts are creative, so is gene splicing, but whatever.

You tell 'em Ray. My oblivious bitch of a wife is spending us into the ground buying every stamp and glitter pen she sees. And then the crap she makes clutters up the house. Moron wouldn't know finances or good taste if it hit her over the head.
I've compared notes, I'm not the only husband who feels this way. Wake up stupid cows.

Wow, I would think that bitter husbands who resent their wives would have better things to do than post on a crafting website...but hey, misogynistic negativity knows no bounds!
