1. Choose two pieces of paper. Trim them to make two equal-sized squares. Fold the first piece of paper accordion-style, using a bone folder or finger nail to make a strong crease.

2.Repeat the accordion folds with the second piece of paper.

3. Create notches for the papers to fit together. Find the middle on the folded pieces of paper with a ruler. Cut a slit about half way through the paper. Then, make an angled triangular cut. This will help your paper to keep from bunching up in the middle. Repeat on the second piece of folded paper. Some scrapbooking papers are patterned on only one side so line the folded pieces of paper up before cutting to insure that you are cutting the correct side.

4. Connect the two pieces of paper by lining up the cut notches. Staple the edges together.

5. Attach. If these are decorations you are hanging in your yard, lay them out in pretty arrangements and staple together, then staple twine to hang from. For pretty dessert decor, attach a skewer with hot glue.
