It's game time! Throw a sports themed baby shower for the expectant parents.

Invitations: Let your guests know right off the bat that you will be showering the mom- (and dad-) to-be with a sport-themed party. If you are feeling creative, you can design your own invitations to mimic the look of a baseball card, hockey puck, football, soccer ball, etc. Simply find a picture of an image that you like online and print it out using a color printer. On the side without the picture, print out the guest of honor's name and the date, time, and location of the shower. And don't forget to add contact information so that guests can RSVP! You can print individual invitations yourself on card stock, or take your finished product to a printing center and have them make as many copies as you need.

If you want to keep it simple, you can fill out your invitations online and then have them mailed to you. You can also just head to the store and fill in pre-printed invitations. We really like this Sports Baby Invitation Kit, but there are lots of options available.

Decorations: Set the mood for the sports-themed baby shower by putting Super Shaped Baby Shower Balloons around the room. Lay down the turf with Green Grass Vinyl Table Covers.

Create a different sports theme for each table. For a tennis table, use a racket and tennis balls as a centerpiece. For a baseball table, place a glove, ball and bat in the middle of the table. For a football table, place a helmet and football in the center of the table. Repeat with different sports for additional tables.

Food: No sports-themed baby shower would be complete without tailgate food. Start off with appetizers like the Gridiron Potato Dip and Sweet-and-Spicy Chipotle Chicken Wings. For the main course, think anything off the grill. You can dish out some Basil Burgers or BBQ Feta and Hot Banana Pepper Turkey Burgers. Select a dessert for each table according to their theme. Serve Doubles for the tennis table and Baseball Brownies at the baseball table. Let guests at the football table enjoy Football Helmets. You get the idea.

Gift Suggestions: What does a new mom need most? Diapers! Shower her with this 3 Tier Sports Theme Diaper Cake. If you're looking for something other than diaper, check out this Sports Hot Dog Gift Set.

Favors: Don't let your guests leave empty handed! Have them pick either a Baseball Glove Cookie Favor or Football Helmet Cookie to take home and enjoy later. If you want to create something more personal for the gifts, you can purchase Baby Shower Candy Bar Wrappers.

We're sure your shower will be a home run!
