Just when we had strengthened our resolve to skip dressing up this Halloween -- you can only be a flirty milkmaid or policewoman so many years in a row before it becomes a big bore -- Simon Doonan teams up with Target to launch a line of trick or treat get-ups. Doonan is the uber-creative who designs Barney's New York's windows every Christmas, and he's brought his quirky fashion-meets-pop culture sense to the costume aisle not a moment too soon.
Costume Couture by Simon Doonan is a super-wearable (nothing spilling out) collection of pop culture-inspired outfits ranging in price from $10 to $30. We love the cheeky (er, chic-y) "Glamour Ghost" and his-and-hers "Spaghetti and Meatballs" outfits. The full line will be available at select Target stores (and at Target.com) beginning September 12.
