Sew your covered buttons on the shirt leaving space between each one.

Cut all of your tulle into 10-inch long pieces. Cut your elastic to fit over your child's head and loosely around his neck. Sew or safety pin the ends of your elastic together. Loop the tulle onto the elastic. Start by making a loop, then wrap the loose ends around the elastic and into the looped end. Pull to tighten.

When the elastic loop is completely covered, fluff the tulle. Pair the ruffled collar with the button tee and paint your child's face to look like a clown; add a crazy colored wig and a pair of bright red or blue sweat pants if you like.
