When the holidays hit, we often separate the worlds of decorations and food, but with such a food-centric holiday upon us, it's only natural to create the holiday feel in your home with your food -- and mulled cider is the perfect way to do that ... while also keeping thirsty guests out of your packed kitchen! It's got that special oo-la-la feel that will impress guests, even though it's as simple as collecting some whole spices and throwing them into a hot pot.
Simply set up a hot plate in your main room and let a large pot of cider slowly heat up with a large infuser full of mulling spices. Collect a variety of mugs next to the pot, along with a ladle, and guests can scoop out a taste whenever they wish. The aroma will make your home smell delicious, and you won't have to maneuver around antsy guests rooting through the refrigerator for something to drink.
For a little extra flair, buy some long cinnamon sticks for each mug.
