It was a beautiful day for a Christmas parade in Richmond, Va. Happy crowds lined the streets as Santa's helpers passed out candy and the marching bands played. Onlookers cheered as the star of the show, a giant inflatable Rudolph the Reindeer balloon, made his way down the street.
But then, tragedy struck.
You know what's going to happen and you know it won't be pretty. And yet, you just cannot look away.
Parents, you may want to send the kids out of the room for this one.

Wow, a head shot!

Jock, I couldn't agree with you more. The parade route planners must have been the same people who thought playing the Northwestern - Illinois football game this year at Wrigley Field was a good idea. Remember: Measure twice, cut once.

Laughed my arse off--any kid who would be traumatized by watching that has much bigger problems ahead of them.......

I was in the Oakland Parade and we had to steer around a lot of traffic lights, and guess what, none of them popped. So its really the skill of the balloon carriers on whether they get popped or not... Guess Rudolph cant help Santa through the fog this Christmas

Send them all to the Island of Misfit Parade Planners
"This fog is as thick as Peanut Butter"
"Don't you mean Pea soup?"
"Hey, You eat what you like and I'll eat what I like!"

You've got to be kidding. Even if the route wasn't planned, the inability to work together and walk Rudolph to the right lane and around the light with plenty of clearance shows some very stupid and inept people running those ropes. They had a whole parking lot to go into and around the ned of that light pole, but the people on the left side of Rudolph kept pulling the ropes and the ones on the right side wern't moving over. Makes me wonder if our future is destined for running out of people with brains.

They couldn't just deflate Rudolph and take him out of the Parade instead of popping him? The same official that planed the parade route is the same guy that said “lets try to get the big 3 story balloon under a light pole without popping it”. And kids are now traumatized by this Tragedy, a popped balloon – Really – come on Really? Years ago when I was a kid the balloons in the Macys Parade here in NYC popped and guess what I’m not TRAUMATIZED. Happy Holidays.

What? No one has blamed Obama for killing Rudolf yet!

That's because it must have been George Bush that caused it.

Most likely it was just a deer hunter who thought he was bagging himself a trophy buck

Everyone knows Obama's agenda is to kill Christianity in America and replace it with Muslim ideology. He doesn't have the time to concentrate on minor issues such as beheading Rudolph (much as he would probably enjoy doing so).

Oh come on Bob, get over yourself. Does everything in this country have to do with politics? I think not. Think before you speak.
