I'm at the point in my holiday planning where I'm starting to fantasize about how great it would be to have Martha Stewart move in with me and help me finish the baking and decorating. Instead, I have only my kids for help, but thanks to AolKids, I think I can turn them into an acceptable substitute. We've discovered Martha and Friends, a fun, interactive site for kids that turns home entertaining guru Martha Stewart into a friendly children's book character.

In additon to some great little videos about the holidays, Martha and Friends has a nice selection of crafts that you can do with your kids. Help your little ones make a garland out of Christmas cards, or a snowball wreath, or fill the time until the grandparents arrive by creating a custom calendar of kid drawings. There is plenty here to keep your kids busy while they wait for Santa's arrival.

It's not the same as having Martha in the kitchen with you, but it really is a Good Thing.
