Don't come between fans and their football game with fussy decor or party decorations. Keep it low-key and casual; after all it's all about the game (and the food and the commercials).

For a festive Super Bowl party, turn your buffet table into a football field with removable tape and stickers. This looks great directly on the table, but if you're concerned about your table's finish, you can cover your table with green butcher paper or kraft paper.

For this project you'll need a measuring tape, thin white tape, white number stickers (be sure to purchase enough sets so that you have nine 0s), and chalk or pencil. Mark off where the yard lines will go with chalk or a pencil; you'll be making 9 lines total.

First use the tape measure to find the center of the table for the 50 yard line. Now divide each half by five and that's the measurement between the rest of the lines. (For example, this table is 60" long. The half yard mark went at 30". To find the spacing for the remaining yard lines divide 30/5 which equals 6". So the yard lines were drawn in at 6", 12", 18", 24", 30", 36", 42", 48", 54").

Mark down both lengths of the table and then stretch the tape from mark to mark, tucking the edges of the tape underneath the table. Now add the numbers, a few inches from the tables edge, starting at 50 in the middle and counting down to 40-30-20-10 on both sidea.

Another way to ensure a casual vibe at your party is to serve finger food with no-fuss paper to-go containers. Instead of buying these in bulk (who needs 500?!) just ask at bakeries, delis, or other chains to purchase smaller quantities. Most vendors are happy to see small amounts for just a few dollars.

These little finger puppets are a nod to the giant foam ones that are ubiquitous at football stadiums. If kids will be attending your Super Bowl party, have a bunch made that they can decorate with buttons, paint, or other craft supplies. It'll feel just like you're cheering at the Cowboys' stadium at the real game (well, almost).

Supplies: To make these felt finger puppets you'll need a couple of sheets of felt in your team's colors, 1 sheet white felt, scissors, pencil, and glue gun.

Step 1: Use your pencil to draw the shape of a hand with a finger pointing up on the felt. Fold the felt in half and cut out the hand.

Step 2: Cut out a small "1" out of the white felt.

Step 3: Make the puppet by attaching the two pieces of colored felt with a glue gun, running the glue around the outer edges but leaving the bottom open. Attach the "1" to the hand with hot glue.
