This alternative to the traditional Easter basket can be stuffed with goodies and then used throughout the spring season. Holidash's crafts expert Kendra Smoot shows you how to make this simple carry-all in the step-by-step video below.



Supplies:

Plain canvas tote bag
1/4 yard Iron-on adhesive
1/4 yard patterned fabric
Coordinating thread
Spring animal template (you can print a chick, lamb or bunny).
Paper + fabric scissors

To make the tote bag:

1. Cut out animal template. (you can print a chick, lamb or bunny). Note: If you are having trouble printing, check your browser. Printing works best when using Mozilla Firefox. Be sure not to zoom in on the image.

2. Iron on adhesive to back of fabric following the package directions

3. Trace animal template onto wrong-side of patterned fabric and cut out. Place animal onto tote and iron on.

5. Use a zig-zag stitch around animal to secure.
