Little ones will love the surprises they'll find inside this sweet Easter craft, and you'll have just as much fun making it for them. Our crafts expert Kendra Smoot shows you how in the step-by-step video below.

Supplies:

3 to 4 rolls of crepe paper
15 to 20 small surprises (flat ones work best)
1 plastic egg
craft glue
scissors

To make the surprise egg in our video:

1: Place a small present in the plastic egg. Secure the beginning of the crepe paper to the egg with a piece of tape.

2: Begin winding the crepe paper around the egg, placing a surprise between each layer.

Hint: To avoid twists in the crepe paper, place the roll in a spouted container, or have a friend hold the roll.

3. Once you have finished winding the roll, secure the end with a dot of craft glue and hold until dry.

4: Decorate your egg with strips of crepe paper, using glue to secure.
